In 1951 and 1954 he was awarded high Government decorations and has been member of various educational advisory bodies close to the Communist Youth Movement, Before the 1956 Revolution he wrote a number of allegories similar to the "Land of Smiles" and is today a man of medium importance, but increasingly vocal and probably popular.
